I have a G&G GR15 Raider and it is shooting at 370fps with stock internals. i just bought a KWA tightbore barrel (6.01) and i know the fps went up. how and what can i do to bring it down to 350 so i can use it at cqb fields?
The echo1 task force series are for people who know their way inside and outside of a gearbox. They all shoot around 360-400 fps out the box. Now to answer the question,
-G&G Combat Machine Series
-ICS Sportlines
-Classic Army Sportlines
Most guns in the series I listed are under $200, giving you money for mags, good battery, smart charger, ect.
Yes, you are correct about most CQB fields having 350 fps limits. I was refering to your post when you said the echo1 task force series were a good cqb gun when it shoots close to 400 fps out the box…
The series I listed are guns that shoot around 320-350 fps.
The purpose of having a gun with a high fps then lowering it is so that you have 2 springs 1 is for the field (the high fps 1) the other is for CQB (the downgraded 1)
Yes, I would recommend that. Keep in mind that it does NOT come with a battery. My first gun was an ICS, in fact. Never failed me once. Plus, you get TWO magazines, and a bottle of 1000 bbs that are actually good.
Jumping the G&G bandwagon on this thread. The G&G Combat Machines/Raiders/Blow back lines are pretty much they are the best CQB guns out of the box. They are lightweight and usually shoot 350 fps. Most of them are usually under $250 and there is a generous variety on the market in most shops. However, they do not come with batteries and chargers – if this isn’t a issue than never mind this last statement.
Or, if you wish to have a full metal AEG, you can go with an ARES M4. They are usually under 250 and you can simply do a spring swap on it to make it CQB legal. Again you have the battery + charger issue. And again, if you already have a charger and battery, forget this last statement.
i would get a airsoft gi g4 pws deoblow. Because if you already have a smart charger all you need is a battery than your ready to go because its pre upgraded.
With any gun you purchase, it depends on what you like and sometimes what you already have. What style of gun are you a fan of/already own? AR style guns? G36? SCAR? Masada? AK? any of the Bullpup guns?
Do you already have guns that you use for field and/or CQB? If you already have mags for anything, consider saving yourself the money of buying more mags that can only be used with that gun and get something that uses the mags you have.
Again if you have a tactical vest decked out with pouches to hold M4 style mags, save the money and buy something that uses those style magazines.
Don’t forget some guns like the G36 have mag well adapters to use those M4 style mags if that is what you already have.
I have an Echo 1 Vector arms Mod47 and that can not be used for cqb because of FPS and its really big, thanks for the suggestions im either going to get the G&G GR15 or the ICS MP5A4
do you play on a public or a private field if public you should get like a agm stubby killer if you are on a private field where only your team can play like i play on then you can get like a mid range gun but make sure the barrel isnt too long or you wont be able to turn corners easily
Well in my own opinion I enjoy using an Echo1 E90 (P90). I had to downgrade the spring because mine shot around 360fps consistintly, but I know a some of them shoot lower. If you do decided to go the way of the E90 I would recomend buying the box mag instead of a high cap. My high cap was a $30 piece of junk and a box mag holds more bb’s. My personal choice is an E90.
g&gs are good for the first few moths i dont wanna go into detail but in the end the gun itself interallly is BAD in the long run your going to want like a kwa km4 cqb or like sr-5
i would save my money and get a kwa sr7. they are cqb. other than that a airsoft gi g4-a2 silent death. a good pistal (sub machine gun) for some searously colose corners is the kwa kmp9.
to be honest none of the people who answerd this are 100% right use what you know how to use or what you like or what your comfertable with. the game is yours to play how you would like to. but if your looking for just a type of gun to use the ak74u G36c m4 commando(or any shorty m4) would be my top assault rifles. the all could have a folding stock to cut down on length and most can be found in “plastic” bodies. i know alot of players hate them but for newer players they cut alot of waight off. i still use my cm.028 wich is a full length ak47 and do pritty good. but thats cuz i know how to use it and how i like to play. I also think m4s are just a lil bit to main streem so i like being diff. but thats just me.
G&G GR15 Raider is great for cqb
I have one and i love it

If you just need a cqb gun and don’t mind what it is, I would say go with any of the echo1 mk5 task force series guns or a g36c from ares.
